Firefighters find body in burned Memphis house
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Fire officials say a man’s body was found in a burned house in Memphis.
The Memphis Fire Department says 35 firefighters and other emergency personnel responded to a blaze Monday morning at a one-story house in the Uptown neighborhood.
Firefighters searched the home after they put out the blaze. Fire officials say the body of a man was found in the living room area.
The man’s identity has not yet been released. The cause of death is being investigated.
Officials say the home has fire, water and smoke damage. The cause of the fire also is under investigation.
