Ribbon Cutting for New Fire Station on Windy City Road

JACKSON, Tenn.-A new fire station, Fire Station 7, has officially opened, along Windy City Road in northwest Jackson. The department cut the ribbon on the new building, Tuesday afternoon. It is home to a fire engine and tanker and will be staffed around the clock by at least 15 Jackson firefighters. Fire Station 7 will serve the newly annexed areas in the northwest portion of the city. “It’s an asset to the community. It’s an asset to the city. It’s an asset for our citizens in this area and we are in operations today, ” said Chief Max Stewart of the Jackson Fire Department.
