JACKSON, Tenn.- If you have had trouble with your landline phone Wednesday evening or found yourself getting detoured near the Old Hickory Mall, there was a very good reason. Just after 5 p.m., witnesses said a semi truck hit a pole, knocking down a large phone line, which is about as big as a person’s arm. Traffic was backed up all through the evening as workers with AT&T, not only had to clear the northbound lanes of North Highland but replace the line as well.
