Police Investigating Armed Robbery at Convenience Store
JACKSON, Tenn. – Jackson police are investigating a Thursday morning convenience store robbery. According to a news release, around 4:15 a.m., police responded to the Mega Mart, 1400 Highway 70 E. Two masked men entered the business and one suspect reportedly stood by the door, while the second suspect approached the clerk with a gun. The robber allegedly took money from the cash register, and then fired a shot inside the store. No injuries were reported. The suspects were believed to be black men and were last seen running behind the store toward North Parkway East.
