Shooting in West Jackson Leaves Man Injured

JACKSON, Tenn.-Jackson Police are investigating a shooting that happened late Wednesday night in west Jackson. According to investigators, a 38-year-old man was injured after he was shot in the chest inside his home in the 200 block of Greenfield, just off of Old Hickory Boulevard just after 10 p.m. Police believe the victim let the suspects into his home and was shot after a struggle. The victim was airlifted to the Regional Medical Center at Memphis where he is currently in critical condition. According to witnesses, two black men were seen leaving the house and getting into a silver or gray, four-door, newer model sedan. One of the men was described as having either braided or dread-lock style hair. The second man was described as having a short hairstyle.
