MADISON COUNTY, Tenn.-Things at work got a little interesting Thursday for the manager at Bodine Aluminum. Workers were in competition to collect food for RIFA, or the Regional Interfaith Association. Administration manager Jason Bates made a promise: He would kiss a goat if his co-workers met their goal of collecting at least 17,000 pounds of food. They exceeded that goal, bringing in almost 21,000 pounds, which breaks down to 67 and a half pounds of food per team member. “Kissing the goat was a first time experience for me, but, it was well worth it because of the amount of food that our team members have raised this year,” said Jason Bates, administration manager at Jackson’s Bodine Aluminum plant. More than 300 team members participated in the food drive and the manager said he would kiss the goat on all shifts so employees will have the chance to see it for themselves.
