Saturday Night Generals Games Cancelled

Saturday‘s doubleheader at The Ballpark at Jackson between the Generals and the Huntsville Stars has been cancelled due to severe thunderstorms and rain. The games will not be made up as the two teams will not meet again during the first half. The Stars took two of three games from Jackson in the series. Any fan who had a ticket to Friday or Saturday‘s games can exchange it for another game during the 2013 regular season. All JEA vouchers for JEA‘s Customer Appreciation Night Saturday can be used for any other game during the 2013 regular season. The state champion Lexington softball team will be honored next Saturday, June 8th when the Generals host Chattanooga. The Mariners/Cardinals tickets and hotel giveaway scheduled for Saturday has been rescheduled for Wednesday, July 3rd when the Generals host Birmingham. Huntsville and Jackson have split the eight meetings so far during the regular season and will meet 10 more times. The Generals currently sit 9 one space½ games back of the first place Birmingham Barons in the North Division with a 23-28 record. The Stars are also 9 one space½ games back with a 24-29 record. The Generals have had four games cancelled this season due to inclement weather. The Generals are scheduled to open up a five-game series at the Tennessee Smokies in Kodak, TN Sunday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. CT. RHP Chance Ruffin (2-2, 2.72) is scheduled to make the start for Jackson and RHP Kyle Hendricks (5-2, 2.47) is the probable for the Smokies.
