Teen Arrested in Brownsville Shooting

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. – Brownsville police have arrested a teenager in connection with a late night shooting in Haywood County. The shooting sent a 17-year-old boy to a Memphis hospital in very critical condition. Police said the victim was shot in the head in a vehicle along Norris Street, shortly after 9 p.m., Friday. He was then driven to a gas station off Interstate-40 near Brownsville. Investigators said the other 17-year-old teen is being held in a juvenile detention center on charges of reckless endangerment, and possession of a handgun.
