Crime Stoppers Raises Reward Funds with Golf Tournament

JACKSON, Tenn. – A golf tournament was held Monday to raise funds for Jackson-Madison County Crime Stoppers. The annual tournament was played at Jackson National Golf Club. Organizers said that funds raised at the tournament will go toward rewards for tips that are called in to the Crime Stoppers tip-line. “We can only pay rewards from donations we don’t use any kind of government funding by the city other than pay the coordinator salary and the assistant’s salary. The reward money has to come from donations,” said Lt. Mike Johnson. Anyone who calls Crime Stoppers with tips on who may have committed a crime can receive up to a $1,000 reward.
