Eight Businesses Summoned by Jackson Beer Board

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson Beer Board will meet Thursday for “Show Cause” hearings. According to the Metro Narcotics Division, the eight businesses that are scheduled to appear have sold alcoholic beverages to underage customers multiple times. At the hearing, the beer board could decide to suspend or revoke the businesses beer permits or they could assess a fine on the business. Police said the instances of sale to underage customers at the named businesses have happened in the recent past. The businesses that are scheduled to appear at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013 are: Owner and manager of the Superway service station located at 795 Airways Boulevard. Owner and manager of the BP service station located at 1831 Highway 45 Bypass. Owner and manager of the Exxon service station located at 2119 N. Parkway. Owner and manager of the BP service station located at 223 Airways Boulevard. Owner and manager of the Shell service station located at 253 Airways Boulevard. Owner and manager of the Pilot Travel Center located at 30 Sand Pebble Road. Owner and manager of the Raceway service station located at 2023 South Highland Avenue. Owner and manager of the Bull Market service station located at 1706 South Highland Avenue.
