WHITEVILLE, Tenn- A teen killed in Haywood County over the weekend has a community mourning; but the tragic story has a happy ending for some. England Perry mourns the loss of her little brother, but celebrates what another family has gained. According to police, Jamal Sain, 17, of Whiteville, was shot in the head in Brownsville on Friday and died a day later. Perry said her brother’s story doesn’t end there. “I’m happy for the choice he made to be an organ donor,” said Perry. Five other people received Sain’s organs. According to the teen’s mom, one of the recipients is a family friend. The woman, in her 40’s, received a kidney. Perry said she’s not surprised that even after his death, her brother is still helping others. “He was a sweet child,” said Hope Price, a family friend. “He did whatever you asked him to do.” Sain would have graduated from high school next year, something his sister said he was looking forward to. “That’s all he talked about,” said Perry. “May 18th he would walk across the stage.” Perry said there are still many questions about how her brother died and who pulled the trigger; but she knows his dreams of going to college and starting a music program will never be realized. Still she believes he did not die in vain. “I’m just happy about how many lives he’s changed,” she said.
