Car Runs Into Home, City Says Driveway Dangerous

BOLIVAR, Tenn- A car that rammed into an apartment home in Hardeman County, has police sending out a warning to drivers about leaving vehicles unattended. “Everybody heard a big ‘bang’!,” said Laquisha Dennis, who lives across the street from where the incident occurred. According to police, a Ford Expedition rolled down a hill on Johnson Street Friday night, into a driveway before crashing into the kitchen. “Normally this is where all the kids usually are,” said Dennis. Police said the driver had steeped away from the SUV when it accidentally shifted gears. Neighbors said the busy street is usually filled with kids playing and riding bikes. “It was bad,” said Dennis. “I mean this truck just came rolling down the hill.” Still Dennis and other residents said it could have been worse. The residents, Kamry Dennis and her son, had left the home less than an hour before the incident. Police said no one was hurt and the driver has not been charged.
