Suspicious Fire, Gunshots Under Investigation
BOLIVAR, Tenn- Shots fire at one Hardeman County home and another catching on fire, have police looking for answers. Police said a Bolivar woman woke to the sound of a gunshot, after a bullet pierced through her home on Waters Street, just before one o’clock, Wednesday morning. Moments later, police said a home caught on fire, down the block on Sycamore Street. Ceundra Glass, a resident of the home, said no one was inside during the time. “I don’t know who would want to do this,” said Glass. “It just happened; but this is Sycamore Street.” According to police other residents in the area reported hearing gunshots early in the morning. “It’s the neighborhood behind us,” said a Waters Street resident, referring to the neighboring Sycamore Street. ” That’s where most of the things happen. Police are still investigating if the incidents are connected. So far no arrests have been made.
