Man Killed in Sunday Night Crash Identified

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. – A Jackson man has been identified as the victim in a deadly crash in Madison County. According to a news release, Sunday night around 10:15 p.m., the Madison County Sheriff‘s Office responded to an automobile crash with injuries in the 2000 block of Beech Bluff Road. Deputies said that a 1994 Ford Explorer left the roadway, struck a tree, overturned and burned. The occupant inside the vehicle was identified through dental records as Robert E. Ward, age 54, of 51 Hurts Chapel Road, Jackson, TN. Both the Madison County Fire Department and the Madison County Medical Examiner‘s Office assisted in this investigation.
