Miss Tennessee Contestants Meeting with Civic Groups

JACKSON, Tenn.- The contestants vying for this year’s Miss Tennessee crown continued to make the rounds as guests of civic clubs, Tuesday. The 36 talented young women ate lunch with the Jackson Exchange Club as part of the second day of pageant week. Club leaders said it is a tradition that both club members and the contestants enjoy as they compete for the coveted crown of Miss Tennessee. “We get to get up close and personal with the contestants and get to know them, ask questions and just them on a personal level and wish them all the best,” said Drew Yates, president of the Jackson Exchange Club. Contestants will begin on-stage competition at the Carl Perkins Civic Center Wednesday at 8 p.m.
