Englewood Preschoolers Learn to Stop, Drop and Roll

JACKSON, Tenn.- Some local pre-schoolers now know what to do in case there is a fire in their homes or their clothing catches on fire. As a result, they had some fun learning the important skills in a fire emergency. “Spotlight” and his owner, Firefighter Terry Baker visited the Engelwood Preschool, Thursday to teach the kids how Stop, Drop and Roll . In addition the kids were able to get inside a real fire truck and see how firemen are able to put out fires. “When children learn at an early age to say out and get out of a house fire. stop drop and roll and when you continually re-enforce that throughout school and pre-school they will remember,” said Firefighter Terry Baker. Firefighters said early education is key to prevent fire injuries and deaths.
