JACKSON, Tenn.- Some local youngsters were able to sharpen their baseball skills with the help of some pros. About 30 kids participated in a baseball camp with the Jackson Generals, Thursday. Generals infielder Patrick Brady and pitcher Steven Shackleford spent a few hours showing them the finer points of throwing and hitting. Brady told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News he was grateful for the chance to help. “I know we’re role models and we need to give them a good example wether to give them a tip here or there anything just to motivate them and give their heads up,” said Patrick Brady, second baseman with the Jackson Generals. In addition to the camp, the kids were invited to Thursday night’s Generals game. Each were introduced on the field before the national anthem.
