Man Accused of Trying to Kill Wife, Indicted

JACKSON, Tenn.- A Jackson man accused of shooting his wife on New Years Day will stand trial on charges of attempted first degree murder and aggravated domestic assault. Kenneth Turner, 64, was indicted Monday by a Madison County grand jury. On January 1, officers said during an argument inside the couple’s home, Turner began firing at his 51-year-old wife and continued as she ran to a neighbor’s house. She was hit in her right thigh and left calf. Turner will return to court on Monday.
