Popeye Jones’ son drafted by NHL Predators, a top defenseman
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – The Nashville Predators have drafted a young standout with strong Tennessee and Kentucky connections.
Seth Jones – a top defenseman – was taken fourth in the first round by the Predators.
He is the son of Ronald “Popeye” Jones, who graduated from Dresden High School in West Tennessee, was a basketball standout for Murray State University in Kentucky and went on to play in the NBA.
