Shelby County inmate walks off work detail
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Officers are searching for a Shelby County jail inmate who walked away from work detail at a nature center.
Shelby County authorities say 26-year-old Daniel Webster was doing landscaping work at Lichterman Nature Center when supervisors reported him missing Tuesday.
Webster is serving a four-year sentence for theft of property and vandalism.
He was wearing a light blue shirt with “SCDC” in yellow letters written across the back. The sides of his blue jeans were also trimmed with the yellow letters.
Webster also has a tattoo on his neck with the word “Jessica.”
