Search Warrant Issued For Husband of Karen Swift

DYERSBURG, Tenn- Investigators said they’ve searched David Swift’s house many times before after his wife, Karen Swift, was found beaten to death almost two years ago; and on Wednesday they searched the home, yet again. “We saw the helicopter circling and wondered what was going on,” said James Davis, a neighbor. According to Dyer County Sheriff, Jeff Box, they can’t say much about the details of the new search warrant, due to court order; but had reasonable cause to issue a new warrant. “I’ve always said I hope David had nothing to do with it on account of the kids,” said Gail Davis, a neighbor. Karen and David Swift still lived in the house, even after she filed for divorce. Karen was reported missing after a Halloween party in 2011; and her body was found almost six weeks later in a cemetery two miles from their home. David Swift has not been named a suspect in his wife’s apparent murder, but neighbors said there are too many unanswered questions to rule out anyone. According to Sheriff Box, the investigation is still active and ongoing.
