Charges Against SGCHS Teacher Sent to Grand Jury

JACKSON, Tenn.- Suspended South Gibson County High School teacher and coach Kendal Bell was back in court, Thursday for a hearing that would determine if there was enough evidence for his case to move forward. According to the judge, the answer was ‘yes’. The October Grand Jury will decide if Bell should face trial on two counts of statutory rape by an authority figure and one count of sexual battery. His alleged victim, who investigators said was a student at South Gibson County was the only person to testify.
