WEAKLEY CO., Tenn.- The free health clinic held at Martin Middle School is extending its stay for one more afternoon due to the huge turn out of patients they have seen this week. The servicemen and women working at the “Innovative Readiness Training Program” told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News they have seen more than 3,000 patients, and conducted more than 8,000 procedures this week. “I thought we would see some people,” expressed Lt. Commander Ritesh Radadia, a dentist at the program. “I did not know the volume, and how much we would be helping each person.” The free clinic will be open again, Thursday until noon. Doctors said they will have limited availability for those who did not get a change to see the doctor this week. “I’ve gotten so many hugs,” said Lt. Radadia. “I felt like it was my family.” The program said this is about addressing health issues more than just one time, and the patients are actually given local resources to help them keep health for years to come. “I think we’ve helped a lot of folks get healthy, and educated a lot of people.” said Lt. Radadia.
