MILAN, Tenn.- If you live in the city of Milan, you could soon have to pay more in property taxes. The board of aldermen are set to vote on it as they consider the city’s proposed budget, Thursday night. The 2013-2014 budget includes a 12-cent property tax increase. City leaders said some of that money will go toward paving projects. Also in the budget, a projected two-and-a-half percent sales tax increase, and two new patrol cars for the Milan Police Department.
