Couple Honored for their Dedication to Jackson State

JACKSON Tenn.-Dr. and Mrs. Mark Bateman were honored by the Tennessee Board of Regents with the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Philanthropy. The two have a history of giving to Jackson State Community College, which was where today’s ceremony was held. The couple established the Marian Jury Bateman Endowed Scholarship Fund in memory of Dr. Bateman’s mother. It assists future nurses from Henderson County.
