Police Investigating Robberies at Convenience Stores

JACKSON, Tenn. – Jackson police are investigating two robberies that occurred overnight. Both incidents happened at area convenience stores. According to a news release, the first incident occurred at 2089 Hollywood Drive, Phillips 66 at 10:37 p.m. Sunday night. Employees stated that a black man, wearing an orange shirt and black pants, entered the Phillips 66 and threatened the clerk with a knife. The suspect took money from the store and fled on foot. The second robbery reportedly occurred at 3162 North Highland Avenue, the Circle K, at 12:42 a.m. Monday morning. Employees told police that the store was robbed by three black men. They said one suspect was wearing a white hoodie with black pants and he was armed with a silver handgun. The second suspect wore a black shirt and black pants with a white stripe down the leg. He also had a red shirt over his face. The third suspect wore a black shirt and jeans and had a black shirt over his face. He was armed with a revolver. After taking money from the store, witnesses said all three fled on foot. At this time, police do not believe that the two robberies were related.
