Child Injured after Falling Out of Shopping Cart

JACKSON, Tenn.- An unusual case for Jackson Police as a 9-year-old girl is hospitalized after falling out of a grocery cart in an east Jackson neighborhood. Officers said it happened around 9 p.m., Sunday on Oak Street. Investigators believe someone was pushing the girl down a hill in the shopping cart when she either fell out or jumped out hitting her head on the pavement. Officers said they expect her to make a full recovery.
