Son of Bradford Police Chief Killed in Gibson County Crash

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. – A man was killed Thursday night after a motorcycle crash in Skullbone along Highway 105 near Bradford. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 7:00 p.m. and the motorcyclist died about two hours later. The Bradford Police Department said the man killed was Tray Combs, 27, of Bradford. Combs is the son of Bradford Police Chief Scott Combs. THP said Combs lost control of his motorcycle as a truck in front of him slowed to make a turn. Combs was ejected from the motorcycle and later died from his injuries. Bradford police said Tray Combs served a tour of duty in Iraq and was most recently a lineman for the Tennessee Valley Authority. He also recently learned his wife of less than a year was pregnant.
