Student Awarded Scholarship for Food Collection Efforts

JACKSON, Tenn. – A Jackson student has been awarded a scholarship for her efforts to collect canned foods for a local charity. Ashton Williams, 12, won the scholarship fro the Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program. Williams collected more than 500 cans of food through a drive she organized at Motessori School of Bemis. The regional scholarship award was for $1,000.
