Body found in garbage container on river bank
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Police are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body on the banks of the Mississippi River in Memphis.
Police say the body was locked inside a garbage container that was found on the riverbank near the Port of Memphis on Monday morning.
Officers said they spoke with someone who saw the container floating down the river.
The victim has not been identified and a cause of death has not been determined.
