Adults Accused of Hosting Teen Drinking Party Appear in Court

The Madison County couple accused of hosting a party with teen drinking back in June appeared in court today. James and Sara Hardwick entered a “best interest plea”, which is essentially a guilty plea. They’ll be on probation for a year, and if they pay their fines and stay out of trouble, their records will be wiped clean. The other adults charged with giving alcohol to minors including Andrew Short, Franklin Jones, Kurt Kroeger and Ayla Morris, had their cases dismissed because the state could not prove they were actually giving alcohol to minors.
