Cleveland woman charged in shooting death of man
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (AP) – Police in Cleveland, Tenn., have charged a woman in the shooting death of her boyfriend.
Authorities were called Sunday night by someone who reported receiving a text message from 43-year-old Alina Sherlin, in which Sherlin said she had shot her boyfriend, Robert Julian. The caller said Sherlin had texted several people about the incident.
The Cleveland Daily Banner (http://bit.ly/14t4zBH ) reported officers found the 45-year-old Julian dead with a gunshot wound to the chest and a rifle on the floor near his body. Sherlin had initially denied police access to her home, until they saw the body through a window.
Sherlin was charged with first-degree murder. She was held Tuesday in the Bradley County Jail where records did not show whether she has an attorney.
