Plane Crash Kills Two

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.– Two pilots are dead after a UPS airplane crashed this morning in Alabama. Investigators are in the process of finding out what happened. The National Transportation Safety Board will hold an on scene media briefing today at 4 p.m. on its investigation into this morning‘s crash of United Parcel Service Flight 1354, an Airbus A300. The UPS pilots were making their approach for the runway at Birmingham’s International Airport just before dawn this morning. Instead, the plane ended up in an open field not far from the airport. The UPS A300 cargo plane was en route from Louisville. A nearby resident describes what the crash was like. “We were in bed and we heard something go over the house, and it sounded like a plane had gave out of fuel, and a few minutes later we heard this loud boom and we really didn’t know what it was,” Sharon Miller said. Only the two pilots were on board. According to local reports, their bodies were found near the plane fuselage.
