Same Person Suspected in North Jackson Bank Robberies

JACKSON, Tenn– A robbery is reported at Bank of Jackson and the suspect is believed to be the same person as First State Bank robber on Monday. A white male, believed to be 5’9″ entered Bank of Jackson on 480 Oil Well Road at 11:55 a.m. and said he had a gun. Officers say he did not display the gun. The teller met his demands and the suspect got away with money. “People don’t always make rash decisions,” said Ward Howard, who was in a nearby business at the time of the robbery. The suspect is described aged mid 20s to early 30s. He had on a black short sleeve shirt with a logo on the left side of the chest, khaki pants and black glasses. “What is going to stop him from doing it again,” questioned Chase Bouchillon, who told 7 Eyewitness News he fears for other banks safety. A witness described his car as a silver or gold, two-door import with grayish tinted windows. The car was last seen headed east on Oil Well Road toward U.S. 45 By-Pass. Investigators believe this is the same getaway car from Monday. In Monday’s attempted robbery, the car was described as a gold-colored Honda Civic, two-door, with lightly tinted windows. On Monday, police were called to an attempted armed robbery at First State Bank. Investigators said that the suspect handed a note to the teller stating that he had a bomb. He left the bank without getting any money The public is asked to watch for any car that is silver, gold, or champagne-colored that matches the description.
