3 arrested in fatal shooting after football game

SARDIS, Miss. (AP) – Three alleged gang members have been arrested in the weekend shooting death of a teenager following a high school football game.

The Commercial Appeal reports (http://bit.ly/16Mjmf6 ) the Panola County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that two 21-year-olds, Darius McNeil, of Como, and Johnathan Jermaine Haynes, of Sardis, and a 17-year-old, of Como, each face charges of capital murder in the death of 15-year-old Roderick Bobo.

Bobo, of Sardis, was in the 10th grade at North Panola High School.

Sheriff Dennis Darby says Bobo died after being shot in the chest. Two other people were wounded in the Friday incident but the wounds were not life-threatening.

Darby says the shooting came at the end of the home football game between North Panola and Rosa Fort.
