Wreck on Highway 45 Bypass Blocks Traffic

JACKSON, Tenn.- A motorcycle and minivan collided on the Highway 45 Bypass near the entrance to Casey Jones Village, sending two people, including a child. to the hospital. The wreck in the southbound lanes happened around 8:45 p.m., Wednesday. Officers believe the motorcyclist drove through a red light and hit the minivan. Police saidy he suffered a few broken bones and other injuries, but is expected to recover. One of the children in the minivan suffered a few cuts due to broken glass. Southbound traffic on the Bypass was blocked as the scene was cleared.
