Man Convicted of Child Porn Charges Requests New Trial

HARDEMAN, CO. Tenn. – Just one week after a jury convicted him on child pornography charges, a Hardeman County man has requested a new trial. John Mckinney, also known as “Mr. Ray” in the Bolivar community has filed papers requesting a new trial. In court papers, Mckinney argues the evidence against him was insufficient to support a guilty verdict. The jury deliberated just 10 minutes before delivering their decision. Mckinney was found guilty of making child pornography inside his home in Hardeman County. He was also found guilty of having the images. He faces up to 140 years in prison.
