NEAR DOWNTOWN JACKSON, Tenn. — Even though the fair is over, one of the most popular events held at Jackson Fairgrounds Park each year is still to come. The 35th Annual Jackson Service League Thrift Sale will take place on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at the Jackson Fairgrounds. Service league members say prices cannot be beat for items ranging from clothes to toys and household items. The money raised is given back to the community through the means of JSL’s grant recipients. The 2012 recipients were RIFA Snackpack program, ARMS, FCA, Dream Center, Care Center, Boys and Girls Club and Operation Hope Summer Program of the Hope Center. “The best part of all this is being able to work so hard throughout the year and come together at the end,” Kristen Londe with the JSL Thrift Sale said. “Raise lots of money and be able to turn around and give those back to other non-profit organizations in out community.” The sale runs from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday
