Union University Student Killed in Wreck

JACKSON Tenn.- A Union University senior was killed in a wreck late Friday night while driving from Jackson to her home in Nashville. According to the school, Leighton Williams’ car hydroplaned, killing her and injuring her sister, a sophomore at Union. Williams was a member of Chi Omega sorority on campus. Union President, David Dockery released this statement, “We are grateful for her life and influence on so many. We trust that God’s comfort and mercy will uphold the family at this time of loss.” Union will hold a prayer for Williams on the steps of White Hall on Sunday at 5 p.m.
