ADAMSVILLE, Tenn.- Adamsville High School was placed on lock down earlier Thursday after an anonymous online threat was made regarding a possible school shooting. According to McNairy County Sheriff Guy Buck, the threat was made on the website Topix. Under the discussion area of Adamsville H.S. an anonymous posting read “Hmm, Will there be a school shooting tomorrow?” Sheriff Buck said many parents who were concerned for the safety of their children, kept them at home . Other students who showed up for classes were checked as they entered the building and the school placed on lock down. The sheriff said his office is working closely with the TBI and Topix to identify the source of the anonymous posting.
