Campbell County high school teacher arrested
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Police say a Campbell County high school teacher was arrested at her school on drug and intoxication charges.
The Knoxville News Sentinel (http://bit.ly/18vbQ9T) reports that Angleen Broyles of LaFollette was arrested Thursday and charged with public intoxication and possession of Xanax without proof of a prescription. She was later released from jail.
Police were notified about Broyles after several students complained of the 55-year-old being intoxicated in her classroom.
Broyles initially told police she didn’t have any medication on her but later acknowledged having 12 loose Xanax pills in her purse without a prescription.
Records show Broyles was arrested for drunken driving in 2003 and 2004, and a charge of driving on a revoked license in 2007 in Campbell County.
