Former Medina Coach Indicted for Sexual Contact With Minor

JACKSON, Tenn. — A judge indicted a former Medina teacher for having sexual contact with a 17-year-old student, Monday afternoon. Kendall Bell, 25, was indicted for having sexual contact with the Medina female. On April 10, Jackson police was contacted by the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services regarding a child sex abuse complaint. The investigation revealed that on Feb. 15, the teen traveled to Bell’s apartment at Camellia Trace in Jackson. While inside his apartment, Bell had sexual contact with the minor. On March 22, the teen again traveled to Jackson to see Bell. He then had sexual contact with her inside his truck. Indictments were returned charging Bell with two counts of statutory rape by an authority figure. Bell remains free on $25,000 bond. He will be arraigned next Monday in Madison County Circuit Court. Jackson police arrested Bell on April 19. In February and March, Bell was a teacher at a Medina school where the girl was a student.
