Trojans charged up for district showdown at Westview

DYERSBURG, Tenn. – The Trojans of Dyersburg came into the season predicted to win the 13-AA district. Thus far, the coaches preseason prognostication serves correct. Dyersburg’s football program enters into Week 6 at 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the district. “We have a lot of momentum coming off a week against Crockett County,” said head coach Bart Stowe. “Our boys played well. You like your momentum to keep going.” Coming off a bye week, the Trojans are excited about their next match. “Westview has a heck of a ball club. They’re a few plays away from being undefeated,” said the fifth year head coach. Both Westview’s overall and district record matches Dyersburg. Friday’s match between the two will have a playoff resemblance and Dyersburg is pumped for the challenge. “They’re undefeated; we’re undefeated (district). You can expect two real football teams going at it.” For coverage of the Chargers and Trojans game, join us on Friday for 5th Quarter at 10 p.m.
