Jackson Woman Pleads No Contest to Statutory Rape

JACKSON, Tenn. — Hannah Steiner, 18, of Jackson, entered a plea of no contest to two counts of statutory rape in connection with her having sexual contact with a 13-year-old boy. On Monday, Steiner entered the plea in Madison County Circuit Court, Division II. Her sentencing date is scheduled for Dec. 5 in Circuit Court. Steiner faces a sentencing range of one to two years each on both counts of statutory rape. On Feb. 25, Jackson police was made aware of the incident. Investigators learned that on Feb. 24, Steiner and the boy had consensual sex in a room at Skyline Church of Christ, located at 1024 Skyline Drive. Steiner surrendered at the Jackson Police Department on Feb. 27 and was released from the Madison County Jail on $5,000 bond the same day.
