JSCC Goes Green To Boost Local Enrollment

JACKSON, Tenn. — Leaders with Jackson State Community College held a special celebration Monday, which unveiled a new campaign encouraging students to go “green”. The campaign called “Stay Close, Go Far” encourages current and prospective students to save more “green” by getting their education closer to home at Jackson State. Everyone was encouraged to wear green to show school pride and participate in special events throughout the day. “‘It’s where you begin’ has been our mantra for about 10 years now, so it was just time to move into a new ad campaign, roll a new life into what we do.” Andrea Winchester Director of Admissions at JSCC said. Leaders say students pursuing a degree can do so while balancing family life, jobs and their educational goals.
