Fashion Show Fights Breast Cancer
JACKSON, Tenn.- Hundreds of West Tennesseans came out Tuesday night for the 19th annual Runway for a Cure fashion show at the Carl Perkins Civic Center. The event is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The sold-out event included a silent auction which was followed by a runway show of this year’s latest fashions. Local boutiques featured their hottest styles. Event organizers said it is a night of fun with a much bigger mission. “We want every one to leave here wanting to spread a kind word offer encouragement to those who are battling breast cancer right now and to know that there is always hope,” Meg Montgomery said, event chair of the Runway for a Cure. “Through the Years” was this years theme with all of the proceeds help in the fight to find a cure for breast cancer.
