Violent Sex Offender Spotted Feet From Daycare; Later Arrested
MARTIN, Tenn. — A registered sex offender categorized as violent was arrested on the UT-Martin campus on September 23, 2013. Weakley County sheriffs arrested Jason Everett Nickell, 41, late last week. Martin police were also helping the investigation. UTM banned Nickell from campus in 2007 for reasons that they would not disclose. Nickell has charges that date back to a 1995 third degree indecency with a child and indecency with a child by exposure. More recently, Nickell pleaded guilty to three counts of misdemeanor stalking in November of 2011.
