Whiteville Police Officers Cleared

WHITEVILLE, Tenn. — New details have been uncovered about the Whiteville police officer accused of using too much force in a recent arrest. Earlier this week, officers admitted to using a baton to take down the accused drunk driver, because they say their taser wasn’t working. Some residents believed officers went too far, and called their local NAACP for help. Friday, Whiteville police say the driver admitted to overtaking his medication which resulted in his actions and plead no contest to the charges.
