Crockett County Judge Will Preside Over Woolfork Hearing

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — New information about the Madison County Sheriff scandal regarding those presiding over next week’s protection order hearing has been released. The Madison County Court Clerk tells WBBJ that Judge Paul Conley of Crockett County will preside over Sheriff David’s Woolfork’s upcoming protection order hearing. Madison County general sessions judge Hugh Harvey granted the temporary protection, but has recused himself from future hearings. Also, District Attorney General Jerry Woodall has recused himself from any criminal proceedings that may develop from the domestic incident investigation involving Woolfork and deputy Sharon Sangster. Circuit court judge Nathan Pride has signed an order appointing the office of Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirech to the case. The protection order hearing for Woolfork is set for October 23.
