JACKSON, Tenn. – The state comptroller’s office has released details about how investigators say a former Madison County deputy clerk was able to steal more than $4200 from taxpayers. Between 2010 and 2012, investigators say Genell Miller deleted computer records for $4,248 dollars in cash transactions for title registrations and used the cash for personal purposes. Auditors found miller later reprocessed the transactions and paid the money back. Miller, who worked for the clerk’s office since 1994, was allowed to resign instead of getting fired.
